Indianapolis Metro Police arrested a homeless man Thursday night for voyeurism at the downtown Hyatt Hotel.

Adam Mittler, 33, was on parole after a 2011 conviction for voyeurism in LaPorte County. Mittler allegedly told his parole officer that he was "spinning out of control" and that he touched the buttocks of two girls at the Castleton Mall earlier in the week and also peeped in the women's bathroom at the Hyatt within the past two weeks.

Mittler was arrested for a parole violation after making those statements, but was released from parole shortly after that. IMPD kept surveillance on Mittler when he was released, and followed him to the Hyatt that same night.

An undercover female police officer caught Mittler holding a cell phone over the adjacent stall in the women's bathroom at the Hyatt. Mittler resisted arrest and tried to hide the cell phone from officers. They took him into custody and he's currently being held at the Marion County Jail pending formal charges.

In September 2010, Eyewitness News reported that Mittler was arrested for taking cell phone pictures of a woman as she used a changing room at Castleton Square Mall. The woman chased him down and turned him into police. Mittler was also accused of trying to peep in a women's restroom stall at IUPUI in May 2010. He was issued a trespass warning and released in that case.

Police believe there could be other victims. They are asking anyone with information related to this case to contact Deputy Prosecutor Andrea Props or Grand Jury Investigator Brian Morris.
