Record lows possible for central Indiana Thursday night
A wintry mix is expected across Central Indiana today. The thick cloud cover could lead to a record-setting "coldest high temp" on record, and tonight we will be dropping close to a record low.
Highs will reach the low 40s today with mostly cloudy skies and a wintry mix that will include rain, sleet, graupel, and sleet.
If we only warm to 41 degrees, that will tie the record for the "coldest high temp" set in 1937.
Tonight we fall to 26 degrees. A freeze warning is in effect for portions of Central Indiana.
The record low for tonight is 25 degrees from 1887.
The seven-day forecast shows warmth and a soggy few days coming our way next week.
