Rain moves out Friday, but cold mix for Saturday
What a weather pattern! Early Friday morning, heavy rain fell in the area and winds were strong. For instance, in Kokomo, winds were clocked at 56 miles per hour. Look for sun today, rain and snow Saturday, and more sun and 60-degree-weather Sunday.
Overall, we appear to be entering a more spring-like weather pattern. Daily highs into next week will be close to the average high for late March. And even though we will see a rain/snow mix Saturday, temperatures bounce back up Sunday.
By the way, on this day in Central Indiana weather history in 1997, a small tornado touched down at the Turtle Creek Apartments on the far south side of Indianapolis, damaging roofs and carports.
