A week ago, Nevada's Nia Sanchez was crowned Miss USA. However, there has been some controversy about her residency, and an interview on a New York radio show Monday morning didn't help.

Sanchez was seemingly at a loss when quizzed about Nevada's capital.

HOST: "Let's do a quiz. What's the capital of Nevada?" the radio host asked.
SANCHEZ: "Ugh. Oh. Oh my gosh."
HOST: "Carson City."
SANCHEZ: "Thank you. I was going to say that. That one host on MTV back in the day..."
CO-HOST: "Carson Daly."
SANCHEZ: "That guy. That's how I always remembered it."

The blunder is giving more ammunition to those who claim Sanchez is a carpetbagger, only pretending to live in the state so she could compete for the crown. Sanchez, a former Disney princess, competed for the Miss California crown three times before competing for Miss Nevada.
