Purdue looking to make statement against Michigan

Purdue wants to put its football program back on the national map.

The Boilermakers will finally have a chance Saturday if they can beat Michigan at home.

So far, things have gone almost perfect for the Boilermakers. They're off to their first 3-1 start since 2007, the two perennial powerhouses in the Leaders Division - Ohio State and Penn State - are both ineligible for the division crown and the three other division foes are all 0-1 in league play.

Michigan (2-2) hasn't been as fortunate. After starting the season ranked No. 8, the Wolverines slid completely out of the rankings after losses to Alabama and Notre Dame, and have spent the past two weeks trying to fix what's gone wrong before the league opener.
