Purdue gets $1 million for nursing, vet scholarships
Purdue University says an anonymous $1 million gift will fund scholarships in its School of Nursing and College of Veterinary Medicine.
Purdue announced Monday that donors made the gift in their estate to continue funding of nursing and veterinary medicine scholarships that the couple had initiated in 2010.
In the School of Nursing, the funds support scholarships for undergraduate students.
The College of Veterinary Medicine scholarship is named in honor of the couple's Dobermans, Aristotle and Beatrice Boilermaker Gold. Scholarships go to third- or fourth-year doctor of veterinary medicine students.
