Property taxes due Tuesday in Indiana
A reminder for central Indiana homeowners: your property taxes are due tomorrow (Nov. 12, 2013).
Many people pay their taxes through an escrow account with their mortgage company.
Those who don't would have gotten a bill in the mail. You can pay it online or by phone as well.
Taxpayers can also view, download, or pay their updated property tax statement online (click on "View or Pay Bill"). Credit Card or eCheck payments are accepted online or by phone (1-317-327-4TAX or 1-888-881-8986). A small service fee is charged by the vendor that processes the payments. Taxpayers can choose one time payments, schedule future payments or enroll in an automatic debit plan.
Taxpayers can also mail in payments to the Marion County Treasurer, PO Box 6145, Indianapolis, IN 46206-6145. Alternatively, if they are paying the full-amount of their fall bill, they can take their tax coupon to any branch of Chase Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Huntington Bank, and Stock Yards Bank & Trust and pay in person. A small convenience fee may be charged by the bank.
Contact the office online or at 317-327-4444.
