Prince: French tax issues
Excuse my French - tax issues. That's, basically is what Prince is asking.
A lawyer for the musician says the singer is now back on the good side of the law with French tax authorities. The lawyer says Prince assumed his previous managers had submitted his tax returns to the French - but didn't find out until September that they hadn't.
The attorney now says Prince's new business people have now filed the proper returns, Gary Hansen tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press there were "some misunderstandings" - but they have "all been straightened out now."
The French tax issue arose in 2011 when France told the U.S. it wanted to examine Prince's income tax liability for calendar years 2009 and 2010.
