Pregnant woman shot to death in Richmond
Richmond Police are investigating the apparent shooting death of a pregnant woman.
Tonawanda Thompson, 32, was found in a vehicle outside her home in the 700 block of South 20th Street. Thompson, who was unresponsive when medics responded to the scene, was suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, and she was bleeding heavily.
Thompson was taken to Reid Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. She was in the late stages of pregnancy, and her unborn child also died.
