Police say they believe they have solved the case of a Mooresville pharmacy robbery last Halloween where more than $40,000 worth of drugs were taken.

Chad Richhart, a detective for the Mooresville police department, says a tip led investigators to Bolton Thurman, his wife Dixie Jo Thurman and Aaron Johnson.

Richhart says Aaron Johnson was interviewed by police and admitted his part in the robbery and implicated the others. He said Dixie Jo Thurman entered the pharmacy about a half hour before the robbery to "case" it.

Investigators showed Dixie Jo Thurman video of her entering the store, and she acknowledged it was her, Richhart said.

Police obtained a search warrant and found clothing and a blue bag used in the robbery, as well as a map that had highlighted CVS store locations.

Bolton Thurman and Johnson are suspects in a CVS robbery in Grant County, Richhart said.

Police say the Thurmans are being held in the Grant County Jail.

Aaron Johnson was expected to turn himself in to the Morgan County jail. A jail employee told Eyewitness News that he had not yet surrendered as of late Monday evening.
