Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man they call "a person of interest" in a double shooting that killed one man.

Homicide detectives say Timothy Denny, 21, Indianapolis, died in the Friday night shooting.

Detectives would like to talk to Kenneth Brittain, 22, who is considered a person of interest. Brittain is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 225 pounds. Please refer to Brittain's BMV photo within this story.

Officers were dispatched to reports of a person shot and found a car had crashed into an unoccupied apartment building near 12th and Arlington Avenue.

Inside the vehicle, officers found Denny suffering from a gunshot wound as well as a female passenger. Denny died at the scene from his injuries. The female was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

Members of the Indianapolis Fire Department arrived to reinforce the structural integrity of the apartment building.
