Police: Man watched girls shower at north Indianapolis YMCA
Police are searching for a man accused of watching young girls shower at a local YMCA.
The man has been spotted eight times over recent weeks at the Arthur Jordan YMCA on Westfield Boulevard. Two days ago, two girls - ages 7 and 10 - say a man walked into the locker room, picked up their underwear and swimsuits and watched as they showered.
The girls told police when they spotted him, he put a finger to his lips, signaling them to be quiet.
YMCA officials found security camera images of the man seven more times in the girls' locker room this month.
Police say they have a person of interest in the case, but have not made any arrests. There were no more details released about the case.
The YMCA issued a statement Wednesday, saying, "At the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis we pride ourselves in having the proper procedures and training available for our staff, to help ensure the safety of our members. The suspect has been expelled from all YMCA of Greater Indianapolis locations."
