Police looking for men who robbed Purdue student

Police in West Lafayette are looking for a group of robbers who attacked a student near campus.

It happened around 1:00 Saturday morning in the 400 block of North Chauncey Avenue.

The 22-year-old was walking home from the bars when three men jumped him, according to investigators. They hit the student in the back of the head, knocking him down and then made off with his wallet and cell phone.

Officers recovered the phone a few blocks away from the scene, but not the cash.

At last check, no arrests had been made in this case.
