Police are searching for a bank robbery suspect on the Indianapolis south side.

The robbery happened at the Citizens Bank at County Line Road and Madison Avenue just before 5:00 pm Monday. Detectives say the male suspect handed the teller a note implying he had a gun and demanded money.

The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the bank. No weapon was ever shown and no injuries were reported.

IMPD and Greenwood Police set up a perimeter and searched the area with K-9 officers, but lost the suspect's trail after an extended period of time.

IMPD released photos of the suspect from surveillance video taken during the robbery. If you can identify the man in the photos, contact the FBI Safe Streets Task Force at 317-595-4000 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 262-TIPS.
