Police identify man killed in Carmel crash

A Carmel man who died in a single-vehicle crash in Carmel on Wednesday has been identified.

Police say William J. Camblor, 68, died in the crash. His passenger, a 63-year-old Carmel woman, was critically injured.

It happened just before 2:00 pm.

Police say a 1997 Ford Expedition that was southbound on Pennsylvania went too fast around the roundabout at 106th St. The driver lost control and struck an office building on the southwest corner of the intersection.

Camblor died from his injuries at the scene. His passenger was taken to St. Vincent Hospital on 86th St. in critical condition.

106th Street was temporarily closed between US 31 and Pennsylvania Street while the accident was being investigated.
