Police ID man slain in Indianapolis shootings

Indianapolis police have released the name of a man who was killed Friday night on Indianapolis' east side.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said 23-year-old Terrance Holmes of Indianapolis was killed. Related shootings injured three other men aged 20, 21 and 23. All three were taken to an Indianapolis hospital in stable condition.

Police spokesperson Sgt. Kendale Adams told our partners at The Indianapolis Star one of those victims was shot in the face, another was shot in the stomach and a third was shot in the thigh.

Police said detectives recovered several shell casings and believe the shootings likely stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the men.
