Police: Drive-by shooting incident leaves 14-year-old wounded
Metro police are investigating a drive-by shooting that wounded a 14-year-old.
Police were called to the 8300 block of E. 36th Place at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday. IMPD Lt. Chris Bailey told Eyewitness News that a male, 14, told officers he was standing in front of his home when a passing car fired a gunshot, striking him in the leg.
The teen was transported to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
No one else was hurt. Detectives are investigating the incident.
