Police at IUPUI seek computer theft suspect

Police at IUPUI are asking the public to help them find a man who stole a laptop computer.

It happened on Oct. 29th in the IUPUI Medical Science Building at 635 N. Barnhill Drive. The victim told police he stepped out of his second-floor office for a few minutes. When he returned, his Dell Vostro laptop had been stolen from his desk.

Security cameras were able to capture the suspect's image.

The suspect is a black male, about 5'10" with a slender build. The suspect appears to have his hair in cornrows so it is possibly medium length hair when not braided. He was wearing jeans and a royal blue shirt with a lighter colored long sleeve shirt underneath. He was carrying a black & gray backpack with a carry handle on the top.
