Peyton Manning picked as Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year
Two years after leaving the Colts - and while playing what some say is the best football of his career - Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been named Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year.
Sports Illustrated released a video online highlighting Manning's career, with interviews from his teammates, coaches, father Archie, and Manning himself.
"It's a tremendous honor being honor being selected the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year. I think it's one of the greatest honors an athlete can receive. We are just elated and extremely excited about it," he said.
Only six quarterbacks total have won the title, and only one of those, Terry Bradshaw, went on to win the Super Bowl that season.
