Pence family leaves Indiana with new kitten and puppy

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - One week after losing their cat, Oreo, the family of Vice President Mike Pence is heading back to Washington from a visit to Indiana with a new kitten.

First Lady Karen Pence tweeted Sunday that "Hazel" the kitten was joining the family.

She announced on Twitter on June 10 that Oreo had passed away.

And, for Father's Day, Vice President Pence was surprised with a new puppy - Harley.

The Vice President was in Indiana this weekend for a Friday fundraiser in Indianapolis and to attend private family gatherings.
