Pedestrian struck, killed on northeast side of Indianapolis


Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed on the near northeast side of Indianapolis Friday evening.

The unidentified man was hit by two cars Friday around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of E. 38th Street and Fall Creek Parkway North Drive. Investigators believe the man was trying to cross Fall Creek Parkway North Drive when he was struck by the southbound vehicles.

Police say the drivers of the cars that struck the man stopped at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The southbound lanes of Fall Creek Parkway are closed at 38th Street while police continue their investigation.
