Pacers top Knicks 93-82, take 3-1 series lead
The Indiana Pacers have beaten the New York Knicks 93-82 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Pacers now lead the best-of-seven series 3-1. Game 5 is Thursday night in New York.
George Hill led the Pacers with 26 points. Paul George, Roy Hibbert and David West all finished in double figures in rebounds for Indiana.
"I just thought he was on tonight in terms of how direct he was with his movements. Defensively he was solid, but offensively, he was just in that mode where he was going to take the shots. A couple of those free throws where he got to the basket were tough plays for us when we kind of stalled out on offense," said David West.
"I tell George all the time he's just as good as any point guard in this playoff run right now. When he plays at that level, we've got a chance to go far," George said. "He does a great job setting guys up. Sometimes he forgets in order to set guys up, he has to be aggressive, but he did a good job tonight doing it."
The Pacers outrebounded the Knicks 54-36.
NBA scoring champ Carmelo Anthony fouled out with 24 points. J.R. Smith had 19 on another dreadful night for the Knicks.
