A Pacers guard wants to help make prom special for today's Indiana students.

Lance Stephenson said he was embarrased about what he wore to his own high school prom so he wants to help today's students have the "ultimate prom experience." The prize included dinner, a limo and prom dresses for the winners at Southport High School.

Stephenson said he didn't have a tux when he went to his own prom.

"When I went to the prom, we were wearing dickey suits," Stephenson recalled. "Now, I'm fortunate to help kids out with a nice prom dress, get them a nice little limo and dinner and little things to help them out."

The winners wrote an essay, and in some cases talked about their personal hardships or financial difficulties.
