Pacers defeat Hawks, even series 1-1

The Indiana Pacers evened their first round playoff series against Atlanta Tuesday night.

Paul George scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the 101-85 win. George Hill added 15 points for Indiana, who outscored Atlanta 31-13 in the third quarter, after trailing 52-48 at halftime.

Paul Millsap led Atlanta with 19 points. Pike High School graduate Jeff Teague scored 14 points.

Top-seeded Indiana took its first lead since the first quarter on Lance Stephenson's three-point play and closed the quarter on an 11-0 run to make it 79-65.

Game 3 will be played Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in Atlanta.
