Pacers and Heat battle for top playoff spot

Despite all their problems late in the season, the Pacers can all but wrap up the top playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a win in Miami tonight. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm.

The Pacers hold a half-game lead on the Heat with three games to go. They also hold the tie breaker over Miami.

A win tonight would be a huge step toward the season-long goal of grabbing the top playoff spot and home court advantage in the postseason.

The Pacers starters have not played since Sunday.

"We've had our ups and downs but the way that we started off the season, the middle of the season gave us such a good cushion. Obviously we want to play better, but there's no other team's catching us for the second seed. So we control our own destiny," said Roy Hibbert.

The home team has won every game in the three previous meetings this season.

Dwyane Wade and Greg Oden will not play for the Heat tonight.
