Operation Football to catch battles for trip to state finals
A trip to the state finals is on the line this week for three metro area high school football teams. Operation Football will be there every snap, pass and catch of the way.
Warren Central, Carmel and Center Grove make up three of the final four teams still playing in Friday's 6A Semi-State games.
Warren Central (9-3) looks for revenge against Center Grove (11-1) in one of the 6A battles. The Trojans beat the Warriors 21-10 on opening night back in August.
The victor advances to the State Finals at Lucas Oil Stadium November 30 and will take on the winner of the Carmel-Penn game. The Greyhounds (9-3) host undefeated 12-0 Penn at 7pm.
Carmel is one of the stops on Dave Calabro's Skylights tour.
Dave and Chopper 13 will also check out some of the biggest battles for regional titles in 3A and 2A. They'll head to Tipton where the 9-3 Blue Devils host 9-3 Oak Hill. The winner moves on to the 2A Semi-State next week.
From Tipton, Dave choppers south to Guerin Catholic High School for the Class 3A showdown between the 5-7 Golden Eagles and the 9-3 Brebeuf Braves.
