One injured in Indianapolis northwest side shooting
Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a shooting on the Indianapolis northwest side.
It happened at 30th and Guion Road.
One person, a 19-year-old male, was injured in the shooting. The patient was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition.
IMPD says a driver flagged down a police sergeant who was on patrol in the area. The passenger in the car had a gunshot wound.
Police believe the shooting took place in the 2900 block of Moreland Ave., and that it was accidental. They do not currently know the circumstances.
Police arrested the driver, a 17-year-old male, and took him into custody for questioning.
