One injured in crash involving IFD fire engine
One person was injured in a crash involving an Indianapolis Fire Department vehicle Tuesday afternoon on the Indianapolis northeast side.
At around 4:30 pm, an IFD fire engine was headed eastbound on Fall Creek Parkway responding to a call with lights and sirens on. When the fire engine approached the intersection of Fall Creek and Keystone, all eastbound lanes were blocked, so the truck maneuvered into the inside westbound lane.
A car was attempting to turn right off of Keystone onto westbound Fall Creek. The male driver of the car was transported to Eskanazi with minor injuries.
No firefighters were injured.
