One dead in shooting outside downtown bar

Indianapolis - One person was killed and another was wounded early Saturday outside a downtown bar.

Police have identified the deceased victim as 19-year-old Christopher Lindsey of Indianapolis.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. outside 6 Restaurant and Lounge in the 200 block of South Meridian Street.

Bars were closing at that hour and police were already in the area for crowd control. They heard five shots fired and one man stumbled toward an officer and collapsed after being shot.
Lindsey died at the scene and police say he was carrying a gun.
Officers say a second shooting victim showed up at Wishard Hospital.  The wounded man has been identified as 22-year-old Prince Bibbs, who is in serious condition.  

Police say Bibbs has two outstanding warrants in Marion County for burglary/theft receiving and the other for possession of marijuana.

Police are looking for a third person involved in the shooting.

Homicide detectives are requesting the communities' assistance in seeking out information that may lead them to the suspect or suspects that are responsible for this latest homicide. They believe several people in the area of the shooting may have seen the suspect or suspects.

Additionally, someone may have seen the suspect or suspects and the victims in a disturbance prior to the shooting.
