One arrested after stabbing near Bartholomew County lake

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY (WTHR) - Indiana Department of Natural Resources officials say they are investigating a stabbing that happened at the Grouse Ridge Public Fishing Area southwest of Columbus.

Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department officials say they believe a man was stabbed around 4:30 Wednesday.

A woman called 911 and told police that the victim was her friend and was stabbed by the woman's estranged husband.

The victim went to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis via medical helicopter. He suffered a stab wound to his abdomen.

The suspect, Taylor Horn of Columbus, turned himself in. He faces a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
