Oldest living female vet is from Indiana

Lucy Coffey is the oldest living female veteran
The nation's oldest living female veteran is from right here in Indiana.

Lucy Coffey now lives in Texas but the 108-year-old is originally from Martinsville. She joined the armed services in 1943 when she was 37-years-old, proudly serving in World War II.

This weekend, the Hoosier native toured Washington, D.C. After a tour of the World War II Memorial, Coffey went to the Women's Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery - something she personally requested to see.

During her visit, Coffey also got to meet President Obama and Vice President Biden.
