A northern Indiana college says its president will step down in May.

Grace College & Seminary in Winona Lake said Monday that Ron Manahan announced that the school's May 11 commencement will end his 20 years as president. The provost of the college, Bill Katip, will succeed Manahan as president.

Manahan joined the evangelical Christian college about 35 miles west of Fort Wayne in 1977 as chairman of its religion and philosophy division and became president in 1994. Its enrollment has more than doubled to more than 1,500 undergraduates during his tenure.

Manahan will become a senior adviser to Katip this summer for the 2013-14 academic year.
