North Central beats Columbus North in OT for 4A title

The North Central Panthers beat the Columbus North Bull Dogs 50-48 in overtime to take the girls basketball Class 4A state finals.

Nariah Taylor scored the go ahead free throws to seal the win with 0.8 seconds left on the clock. She led the Panthers with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Celeste Edwards had 10 points, five steals and five assists for the North Central. It's the third state title for the Panthers and their first since 2005.

Ali Patberg scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Bull Dogs. Tayler Goodall had 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Taylor scored the last eight points in regulation for the Panthers, including the put-back to tie the game at 42 to force overtime.
