North Carolina woman named John Marshall principal

A North Carolina native has been named the new principal at John Marshall Community High School.

The Indianapolis Board of School Commissioners approved the hiring of Ashauna Short Monday. Short is currently the assistant principal at a high school in Greensboro, N.C. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Short has served as a high school English teacher and a magnet coordinator in her 10-year career in education.
