Noblesville Police investigate reported stabbings
Police are interviewing three men following reports of stabbings late Monday night. All three were taken to Riverview Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Police have not determined the extent of the injuries to each man, and how they were injured, but are treating the incident seriously. "It's significant enough to where it could have caused somebody to lose a life," Noblesville Police Lt. Bruce Barnes said Tuesday morning.
Barnes added that police believe they are speaking to everybody involved in the incident.
Police were called to a house that contained two apartments in the 500 block of Pleasant Street around 11:30 p.m. The call came from a house in the 500 block of Walnut Street.
Noblesville PD Sgt. Andrew Reiss told Eyewitness News that it appears an altercation took place at one or two of the apartments on Pleasant, and one of the injured men left that scene to call 911 from the Walnut Street address.
Reiss said all three men appear to have sustained lacerations from an unknown weapon or implement. All three were speaking with medics and police at the scene, according to Reiss, before they were taken to Riverview.
Police interviewed the men at Riverview, and are continued to question the third man at the jail once he was released by doctors.
No charges had been filed as of 6:30 a.m.
