Noblesville man killed in early morning crash

A 19-year-old Noblesville man died in a crash in Noblesville early Tuesday morning.

It happened at Little Chicago Road and Buttonwood Drive at around 8:20 am. Police say a Chevy Monte Carlo was westbound on Buttonwood Drive trying to turn southbound on Little Chicago Road. Witnesses told police that the driver of the Monte Carlo, later identified as 19-year-old Zachary C. Bish of Noblesville, pulled into the path of a Chevy van that was northbound on Little Chicago Road.

Bish was taken to Riverview Health Hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

The driver of the van, a 65-year-old man from Greenfield, was treated for minor injuries.

Little Chicago Road was temporary closed between S.R. 38 and Myers Lake Drive as investigators collected information and evidence. The road was reopened at 10:56 a.m. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
