Noblesville man caught during apparent attempted burglary

Luke Voorhees

A Noblesville man was arrested Thursday at a home where he was allegedly committing a burglary.

Police say the burglary was reported around 2:20 p.m. at a residence on Woodview Drive in Noblesville. A concerned neighbor told officers a dark vehicle dropped off a white male who went to the home's front door. The man appeared to be looking for a hidden key before going to the back of the residence.

Officers arrived on scene and saw 32-year-old Luke Voorhees walking through the yard and apprehended him. Voorhees told police he had relapsed on a prescription drug addiction and knew the home had prescriptions inside.

Voorhees was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
