No 9. Butler reaps benefit of building process
Butler's legacy of success is enough to make any college basketball school jealous.
More national championship game appearances than any school in the nation over the past three years, the first Indiana school to reach back-to-back Final Fours and four trips to the NCAA regional semifinals over the past decade. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that this season's Bulldogs are beating the big boys, winning close games and making implausible seem probable again.
The Bulldogs have spent more than two decades building their program around a group of players that complement one another rather than a major star or two, and they believe they can beat any team.
