'Pour it Forward' event comes to life for Cathedral High School grad

An event planned by a Cathedral High School grad who died while traveling abroad came to life today.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – An event planned by a Cathedral High School graduate who died while traveling abroad came to life today.

Kassie Braun created Daniel Vineyard's First "pour it forward" event before her death last year.

Today they partnered with the Indianapolis Animal Care Services for the event called Sip. Bark. Repeat.

People were encouraged to bring their dogs, enjoy a glass of wine and check out the vendors selling dog treats and toys.

There were even dogs up for adoption.

Kassie's mom says it's a bittersweet day.

"I would obviously trade all this in just to have my daughter here," said Chalene Braun.

"So I can't really change anything but I can do this with a lot of help from my friends."

All of the ticket sales will be donated to Kassie's foundation.
