Carmel Police investigating man approaching child

The child is safe and was not harmed in the incident.

CARMEL, Ind. — The Carmel Police Department is investigating after a woman said a man approached her child in the area of Carmel Woods Apartments. 

Police said it happened on Aug. 6 around 4:19 p.m. The child's mother didn't recognize the man and intervened. The child is safe and was not harmed in the incident.

The man was described as white, 30-50 years old, bald, green eyes, 5’6” tall with an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
