New study says more sodium okay
You can now feel a little less guilt when you indulge in salty foods.
A new study suggests a higher range of sodium consumption than what the CDC recommends is still safe. In fact, some researchers claim it may actually be healthier for people without high blood pressure.
The new review says the ideal daily sodium intake is between 2,700 - 5,000 milligrams.
But experts warn that exceeding this range is linked to poor health outcomes and higher death rates.
