New Albany fire victim released from the hospital
A southern Indiana girl who was the only child to survive a house fire that claimed the lives of her three siblings in early January went home Friday night.
Eyewitness News was there that afternoon when 5-year-old Tat'yana Hughes was released from Riley Hospital.
"My heart is floating, my stomach is floating," said Tat'yana's grandmother Marie Clark. "Every time I look at her, I think about the other three and where she could be as well. But then again, I look at her and I see them all so it's just a bunch of mixed emotions."
Her church and hometown planned a special homecoming for the little girl who captured the hearts of many. Plans are in place for a parade for Tat'yana in her hometown of New Albany this weekend. After that, Tat'yana said she would like to go to Disneyworld to see Mickey Mouse and Daisy Duck.
