A 30-year-old Muncie woman already charged with murder in the death of her 5-year-old cousin and charged with beating her younger brother and sisters now is also accused of neglecting her siblings.

The Star Press reports Charlene Tabb was charged Thursday with three felony counts of neglect of a dependent. The charges allege Tabb neglected her siblings between July 2012 and last June, which is when her cousin, Marie Pierre, died. Tabb is charged with murder in the girl's death.

Tabb also is also charged with five counts of battery with a deadly weapon, based on allegations she repeatedly whipped her three siblings with an electrical cord. She is scheduled to go on trial Dec. 8, but her attorney, Mike Quirk, says he expects it will be delayed.
