National Weather Service: Three tornadoes touched down Tuesday in Indianapolis metro area

It wasn't one, but three tornadoes that touched down during Tuesday's severe weather.

They hit in Owen and Morgan Counties and in Plainfield.

The Plainfield tornado traveled approximately three and a half miles on the ground in Hendricks and Marion Counties.

Nearly two dozen homes were damaged in Hendricks County. 75 to 100 homes had minor damage in Indianapolis.

The tornado was rated an EF1 with winds about 100 miles per hour.
