Mumford & Sons decided it didn't want to perform with a replacement for its ailing bass player. So the group has canceled its headlining performance at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee.

Word of the cancellation is through the band's Facebook page - and it comes days after bass player Ted Dwane received treatment for a blood clot on his brain.

The band scrubbed three shows earlier this week after learning of the clot - but had hoped to play Bonnaroo, where some 80,000 fans are expected. But when they learned Dwane was unable to play tomorrow, Mumford and Sons opted not to go with a replacement - and pulled out.

No word on who will replace them.
