A police pursuit ended in a fatal motorcycle crash in Fishers Friday night.

Fortville Police say one of their officers on a DUI patrol spotted the motorcycle traveling at a high speed on Pendleton Pike around 9 p.m. Friday. The officer pursued the motorcycle up Olio Road with lights and sirens on.

At 96th Street, the motorcycle turned west toward the Cocktail Cove area of Geist Reservoir. Officer Fox estimated the motorcycle to be going in excess of 110 mph. At that point, the officer felt it was too risky to continue the pursuit, so he turned off his lights and sirens and followed the motorcycle at low speed.

Fishers Police say the motorcycle crossed the center line into the path of an SUV. Two other vehicles were involved in the crash. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured in this crash.

The Fishers Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Team responded to collect evidence and investigate the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

The names of those involved in the accident have not yet been released.
