MotoGP brings many different events to Indy
Events get started Friday at Indiana Motor Speedway, all leading up to the MotoGP on Sunday. The gates open at 8 a.m. Friday morning followed by practice starting at 9:15 a.m.
Practices run all day long today, there's also autograph sessions, and two live concerts featuring Jasmine Cain and Lynda Sayyah.
Saturday, qualifications start up at 1 p.m.
Sunday, the feature MotoGP race begins at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20 dollars for Friday and Saturday. Expect to find tickets from $50 to $130 for the race on Sunday.
The festivities will not only be at the Motor Speedway, but also in downtown Indianapolis.
Families will be able to enjoy motorcycle trick competitions, vendors, food, and a kid's zone at the XDL Sportbike & Motorcycle Madness at the Indiana War Memorial Friday and Saturday. About 4,000 people are expected to attend.
Then the return of the popular and free Motorcycles on Meridian Event on Monument Circle, South Meridian and Georgia Streets.
Friday the events run from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m., Saturday it will take place 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Ten-thousand bikes are expected to be there, everything from Harleys to sport bikes and motor scooters.
