Mother of adopted Chinese daughters uses Facebook to teach lesson

A woman who adopted two little girls from China says she never imagined her family would attract rude and ignorant comments on a daily basis.

Now that the girls are a little older - ages 13 and 7 - Kim Kelley-Wagner is taking a controversial approach to showing people that their words can hurt.

She posted pictures to her Facebook page of her daughters holding up signs with things said to or about them in the past.

The comments include, "She is lucky you came along...otherwise she would be dead in the streets." Or another one about her about her seven-year-old, who had a cleft lip and palate at birth. "Why didn't you get one that was perfect?"

What are your thoughts about the mother's approach? Do you think this is a good way to let strangers know how their words may impact the children?
