Mother hugs boy who shot and killed daughter
There was a tender moment in a Florida courtroom earlier today when a grieving mother embraced the boy who shot and killed her teenage daughter.
Jordyn Howe was playing with a pistol on a school bus two years ago when he accidentally shot and killed thirteen-year-old Jina Guzman-DeJesus.
The girl's mother agreed to a plea deal that puts Howe in a juvenile detention center for a year.
Shortly after pleading guilty to manslaughter, Howe got up and hugged the mother of the girl he killed. She hugged him back.
"It just means that I really do forgive him," said Ady Guzman-DeJesus.
As part of the plea deal, Howe also must speak to other children about the dangers of guns.
