Morrissey has received $14,800 in damages after one of his songs was used to promote a show featuring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay on British television.

Billboard reports The Smiths' song "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" was used to advertise Ramsay's "Christmas Cookalong Live" show on Channel 4 in Britain.

The channel settled with Morrissey, who is donating the money to PETA to fund a campaign against foie gras. Morrissey says Ramsay "may very well stick his head in his microwave" when he hears what Morrissey did with the money.
